Our Gifts

  • How do I know she’d like this?
    We conducted surveys to figure what most women like and read numerous research studies. The findings were clear: the best gifts are gifts that can be experienced together.
    Once we knew that, we started thinking about design. We thought about every aspect of these gifts. From the casually sophisticated packaging to the memorable experience, we’ve mulled over the details. 
    Speaking of the experience, we also included all 5 of the known love languages. She’ll be overwhelmed with appreciation for you.  
    • Why are there only 3 gift options? 
    After conducting surveys and going through published research articles, we took the time to develop the gift sets. We provide a limited number of gift boxes instead of a myriad of options from because we wanted to make sure that women will love them. 

    At Givher, we believe gifting is an art and a science. 

    Also, it's because we wanted to make gift-giving more stress-free. We wanted to get rid of the decision fatigue faced by many people when choosing the perfect gift. 

    Since we are confident that our gifts for her will deliver and delight, so there is really no need for more options.  

    • What if I don’t know what to write on the blank card?
    We’ve got you! Expressing thoughts and feelings isn’t the easiest thing to do, so we included a few prompts to help you get started. If you need more inspiration for writing a letter, contact us!

     

    Our Candles

    • Why beeswax?
    The other popular types of candle wax are paraffin and soy wax. 
    Paraffin is cheaper than beeswax, but it is a byproduct of non-renewable crude oil. To form the solid wax, the liquid petrol is treated with more chemicals like hexane and toluene. When burned, it gives off toxic fumes and produces soot that can eventually stain the surfaces of your home. Because we tend to burn our candles indoors, burning paraffin candles has quickly become a leading cause of indoor air pollution.  
    Soy wax is better, but it may still produce soot. Burning fragrances may also cause indoor pollution.  
    Therefore, beeswax makes the best types of candles. This natural wax burns cleanly. It even purifies the air we breathe by releasing negative ions and trapping dust and debris. Our 100% beeswax candles also burn longer than any other type of candle. 
    We choose beeswax because of the bright, warm light; the fantastic health benefits; and natural, chemical-free scent. 

     

     

    • What is this dusty film on top of the candle? 
    As the natural oils of the wax come to the surface, a dusty film can be observed. This is called bloom. It’s actually a really good indicator that you have a pure beeswax candle. 

    You can remove bloom by gently wiping the surface with clean, lint-free cloth. Be careful to not break the wick!  

    • Do I have to worry about the beeswax melting in transit? 
    Not at all. Beeswax is a very dense wax, so no need to worry about heat damage during shipping.
     

    Our Massage Oil

    • What are wildcrafted essential oils?
    Essential oils are highly concentrated compounds extracted from plants. These oils contain the “essence” of a plant’s scent and healing properties. Wild-crafted means that the plants used were not commercially farmed, but instead grown and cultivated in the wild.
    In other words, our massage oil smells like tens and hundreds of roses picked from wild rose bushes.  

     

    • What are carrier oils?
    Carrier oils are plant based oils. We take organic seeds and nuts, then apply massive amounts of pressure to press the oils out of them. Since the highly concentrated essential oils may irritate the skin, we add these carrier oils to dilute them.
    These oils are also known to nourish the outer layers of the skin.

     

    Orders

    • How do I cancel my order?
    Give our team a call at 424-271-5141, or send over an email (hey@givher.gifts). We'll work on stopping that order as quickly as possible. Our orders ship pretty fast, but we will try to find a solution if your order has already shipped.
    You’ll want to have your order number handy before calling. If you don't have your order number: please provide the complete billing name you have provided when you placed your order. If you're leaving a voicemail, please be sure to include the order ID so we can get that order cancelled. 
    After we've heard from you, we'll do our best to cancel the order. Once we've successfully cancelled your order, you'll receive a confirmation email letting you know that your order has been cancelled.

     

    • Do you sell products individually?
    If you're looking to buy single items from us, get in touch and we'll see what we can do for you.

     

    • Do I need to be there when the recipient opens the gift?
    We strongly urge you to look at other gifting options or email us if giving the gift in person seems improbable. We can work toward a creative solution together. 

     

    • What do I do if the item is defective?
    If the product received is damaged, just let us know as soon as you can. We may ask you to send images and descriptions of defects/damages, so that we can look into what happened.
