For decades, Big Business has commercialized the meaning of gifting. We’ve noticed it. You’ve noticed it too. They have been programming us to believe more stuff = more emotional value. That’s why we get so stressed when giving gifts: they want us to buy more to prove our love.
Instead of items, our California-based company aims to focus on the things that matter.
Hi, my name is Erin.
I first thought of Givher after my partner bought me a gift I don't use: headphones. The sentiment behind the gift was incredibly sweet, but I didn't really need the gift. As a result, I started thinking about what kind of gifts I would actually like to receive.
I came to the conclusion that I wanted experiences. Then, I asked my girlfriends if they thought similarly. They did; they wanted meaningful and experiential gifts.
That was the start of Givher.
It's been a joy thinking of gifts which further connects people. Thank you for taking the time to look for another type of gift. Thank you.
At Givher, we believe connection is the result of shared intimacy, of opening up to another person and of spending time with them.
We want to facilitate more of these moments… one heartfelt gift at a time.
CHEck it outGifts aren’t about stuff. Stuff doesn’t give us memories; experiences do.
